Loved the emphasis being about the art of coaching which boils down to how important relationships are. Some really great authentic conversation where we could share our experiences with one another. As always its important to facilitate good conversation with good questions. Very encouraging and really grateful to have a great mentor in Gary and to have him in my corner.

The new learnings from all involved in the course, the new networks with coaches worldwide now. I enjoyed the passion that all the coaches had and what this course has ignited in me, in furthering my aims as a coach. I enjoyed being challenged with both the Exams and Assignments that were thrown our way and not making it straight forward.
I would recommend this course to all coaches, who are working with all age groups.

Ex Warriors Player Tshwane Spartans Dhaka Dynamites High Performance Cricket coach at Kingswood College
Philosophy:Is to provide my players with everything they need to achieve their goals on the field while also trying to develop a personal relationship with each player through communications, trust and honesty.
The experience was not only vital to my personal growth as a cricket coach, but I feel it allowed me to foster tangible relationships in a nurturing cricket environment. The interactions with the people involved in the course have been my highlights. Often, we forget the real passion that so many have for the game. I have been humbled when others have asked me for my opinion and have been so grateful to those I have reached out to for their openness and transparency. There was so little ego in this course, that is so refreshing. The experts who came onto the course were genuine and added value through their honesty. I am proud to have been a part of the process. The level of the content allowed me to continually add to my understanding of topics without it being unusable. That is a vital component of the course.
I was fortunate to start my coach career early. After playing at the University of Stellenbosch until the age of 22, a shoulder injury moved my focus to coaching. This allowed me to work at Paul Roos starting in the junior levels through their system to 1st team. After a 7 year hiatus, I returned to full time coaching, initially at Paul Roos and then alongside Roger Telemachus and Andrew Wylie at the University of Stellenbosch for a 9 year period. I am currently the Director of cricket at Hilton College. Where the development of the system with a focus on creating cricketers who have the skill set to compete after school and implementation of a mental skills program.
Amazing experience. Incredible insights into leadership and skills needed to perform on all levels. Grateful for the opportunity, exposure, knowledge and sense of congeniality.
First Class Cricket for Eastern Province and The Warriors. Coached the Eastern Province and Border Cricket Academies. Coaching Manager at Border Cricket. Currently Director of Cricket at St Andrew's College, Eastern Cape, Grahamstown.
Encourage players to find their purpose and maximise their potential. Promote them into their best fit and support them in their roles whilst sowing seeds that benefit others.
It definitely has been life changing for me! As a younger coach coming into a high performance environment, I feel so much better prepared.
I currently work for Cricket South Africa as the SA u19 Girls and Women's National Academy Head Coach. Breaking through the stigmas attached to being a female coach involved in a very male-dominated sport has always been a challenge over the years. I have learned to overcome many a challenge and breakthrough stereotypes for the betterment of women in cricket and in sport. I may not have always been comfortable in situations but I believe I am very headstrong and have always put the sport first.
I was a part of the KZN Senior Women's team for the last 15 years. I managed to maintain the rare role of player/coach for the senior team since 2012. I created a culture where the girls understood their roles, their hunger for the game, and their drive to be successful. I was also privileged enough to represent my country for 9 years and even captain the side in tours to Ireland and Australia.
Enlightening, challenging & mentally stimulating!
Titans Head Coach, Northerns Senior Prov, Titans Academy, Northerns Academy, Northerns U19

There is no other coaching platform that affords you the opportunity to be individually mentored by Gary as well as learn from some of the world’s best players and coaches on a weekly basis. This is what makes this course truly world class

Unparalleled! All cricket coaches that are serious about taking their learning to the next level and gaining insights that you won't get anywhere else. The content and attention to detail is excellent and brings world famous players and coaches to the "students" in a modern dynamic way.
Having literally grown up on the side of a cricket field, the game of cricket is in my blood. I was fortunate enough to make a career out of the game I love for 18 years. Cricket has taken me to all corners of the globe and allowed me to meet some incredible people. Now in the second phase of my journey, I want to further contribute to the game in different ways. Coaching has always been a part of my life, even while playing. To see other players improve and enjoy the game really lights up my heart. From introducing youngsters to the game to taking skilled professionals to the next level of performance, the ability to make an impact really excites me.
Challenging not only my perceptions of coaching but also the methods of implementation of coaching philosophies. Really enjoyed the webinars each offering pearls of wisdom. The more you look into them the more you get out.
My ultimate goal is to unlock the belief in players that will free them up to play within theirs and the team's game plan. It is in practicing, always to the best of our ability and importantly doing so intelligently, that gives us the clarity and peace of mind to be able to back ourselves in the heat of competition. It is therefore my job as a coach to make practice perfect, through treating each player as a unique individual which can only take place if I have taken the time to understand the individuals that I work with, my attention to detail and my communication to the players.
For the past 21 years I have been continually involved in the game. Initially as a player (although not very successfully), to more recently where I have focused on my coaching career. My coaching career has varied in roles and positions, and has ultimately led me to the two posts which I currently hold, the Cricket Professional at St John's College which I started in February 2013, and the Batting Coach of the Imperial Lions which I started in August 2017.
